LOT OF TRAVELLING - BERND 2.9
a lot of travelling, of switching of environments and circumstances, makes those
experiences appear almost surreal and virtual to a certain extent. for sure i also
expect from this project some clarity about that for myself (and my artistic
translation). I find it challenging to travel around a lot and to have the ambition
to stay constantly aware of what's going on around me. in my case that lately resulted
in a huge pile of photographs, notes and the feeling as if i would be someone who
knows everything, but is not able to answer a single question. these kinds of
data-overkills are very subjective. for sure, a very sensitive person can experience
that by staying at home all day long - it's not about quantity, it's about quality.

LANDSCAPE - BERND 2.9.
"landscape" can be defined as a "framed" part of the worlds surface. we frame it,
to be able to put it into relation to other landscapes. Onto those enclosed "stages"
there's written a lot of geological, social, personal, irrelevant.....information.
on their edges they fade into other landscapes of a different character. Nations play
the same game with more sharply drawn borders. inside those territories, there's
written a lot of historical, political, organisational, irrelevant.....information.
the cities are the most dense organisations. - big cities are big archives.
